About the Training
The General Additive Manufacturing Foundation is a self-paced virtual course for DoD members that builds a practical baseline in AM. Across seven concise modules with videos, demos, and short quizzes, you’ll cover core processes (LPBF, binder jetting, material extrusion, etc.), materials, DfAM, quality, and reverse-engineering workflows
Training Topics
- Identify the main AM processes and when to use each
-Interpret machine/output data to spot quality issues early
- Apply basic DfAM principles to reduce supports and time
- Compare materials and post-processing paths for performance
- Explain reverse-engineering workflows and common pitfalls
- Earn a completion certificate (recommended 24 CPLs)
